This program is designed to empower girls of aged 9 – 19 years to realize their education, health, and economic rights in tackling Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), teenage pregnancies, child marriages and other harmful practices in achieving Global Sustainable Development Goals number 3 on health, number 4 on quality education and number 5 on gender equality. In doing so, CDF strengthens girls’ and young women’s knowledge, skills, and attitudes in addressing the socio-economic challenges they are facing. CDF also empowers girls and young women to be change makers in their respective communities through peer-to-peer outreach sessions, community mobilization and advocacy.
